Course Description:

This practical course equips students with the essential skills for preparing and delivering biblical, Christ-centered sermons with clarity, conviction, and impact. Students will learn how to interpret Scripture faithfully, develop sermon outlines, craft compelling messages, and communicate God’s Word in ways that are relevant and transformative. Emphasis will be placed on both the spiritual formation of the preacher and the technical aspects of sermon construction, including exegesis, homiletics, illustration, application, and delivery style. Through hands-on practice, peer feedback, and instructor guidance, students will grow in confidence and competence as communicators of the gospel.

Course Objectives:

1. Develop a systematic approach to sermon preparation grounded in Scripture.

2. Deliver sermons with clarity, confidence, and spiritual authority.

3. Understand the theological and pastoral purpose of preaching.

4. Receive constructive feedback to grow in both content and communication skills.
